Chimpanzee Memory Mastery: Based on a 30-year study conducted at Kyoto University's Primate Research Institute, it was discovered that chimpanzees possess the ability to recognize numbers from 1 to 9 and their corresponding values. What truly astounds is their photographic memory. In experiments, jumbled digits 1-9 were displayed on a computer screen for less than a quarter of a second. Ayumu, the young chimpanzee, consistently excelled by correctly and swiftly identifying the positions of these numbers in ascending order.
