Tiefgang
In 2009, I was invited to create a live painting at an electro party called “Tiefgang.” The pulsating beats, energetic crowd, and immersive atmosphere all infused the work with a sense of immediacy and raw spontaneity. Over the course of the night, I laid down lines, shapes, and colors in real time, responding intuitively to the music and the movement around me.
Once completed, the large-scale drawing was raffled off among the party’s registered attendees, a gesture that not only highlighted the collaborative spirit of the event but also gave the artwork a life beyond the moment in which it was created. The exchange between artist, audience, and environment has always been central to my practice, and this experience remains a vivid reminder of how art can bring people together—even if just for one electrifying night—and then continue traveling outward into new spaces and stories.
